Professional Background
I am a psychoanalyst and educator working with children and adolescents in the greater Burlington area. I provide integrative services in a structured, natural setting addressing initiative and frustration, both pivotal in the pursuit of satisfying curiosity and mastering new concepts and ways of understanding the world. I have worked directly with children in education and mental health for 30+ years, and drawing on theory, clinical practice and direct experience with children, I developed a model that essentially integrates my role across disciplines.

All Learning is Emotional
I work with the whole child, which includes attendant symptomology. I have experience working with the anxious child, the angry child and/or the emotionally dysregulated child. I support children in being able to better tolerate frustration and to increase task persistence, autonomy and initiative along cognitive fronts. Supporting children in natural environments on a weekly basis for 3 to 5 hour blocks has been an effective model in terms of child outcome (emotional maturation).
